Meet Our Coaches
David McGivern
Head Coach, Owner of DMcG Hockey
Head Coach, David McGivern,has been working as a fulltime, professional hockey coach for the past 6 years. During this time, he has coached at school, club, provincial and international level, as the current Head Coach of Ireland U18 Girls, former Head Coach of Railway Union Ladies in Ireland's top league, the EYHL, and former Assistant Coach with Leinster U16 Girls. David is currently employed as the Head of Hockey in St. Kilians School and as Head Coach of Three Rock Rovers Ladies 1st Team in Leinster Division 1.
As an EHF and FIH Level 2 certified coach, David has improved the technical and tactical knowledge of countless young players and hopes to continue to do so at DMcG Hockey Camps and Skills Clinics.
Stephen O'Keeffe
DMcG Hockey Coach
As the current Irish Senior Men's International Indoor Goalkeeper, Stephen adds a huge amount of High Performance experience to our Camps and Clinics. Stephen has over 15 years coaching experience, coaching both goalkeepers and outfield players. He is currently Head Coach of the Senior A and Junior A teams in Muckross Park College, where he also works a teacher. Previously, Stephen has coached at representative level with the Irish U16 Boys and Girls in addition to Leinster U16 and U18 Boys and Girls.
