What this is about:
Aerials and drag flicking are niche skills at this age.

On most teams, there is one player trusted to throw the aerial or step up for drag flicks.
This intensive is about becoming that player - not just another player who can sometimes attempt it.

Very few players learn these skills properly in team environments.
Those who do often stand out quickly.
Who this is for
Secondary school players in 2nd - 4th Year (approx 14-16 years)
This is NOT suitable for:
-
Hockey beginners
-
Players looking for games or casual sessions

This IS suitable for:
-
Players new to aerials and drag flicking
-
Players who want correct technique and confidence before using these skills in matches
The Outcome
Over two intensive days, players will learn to:
-
Execute a repeatable, legal aerial with control
-
Understand and practise the core drag flick movement pattern
-
Build the confidence to step forward when these skills are needed, rather than avoiding them

These skills are often avoided not because players can’t do them, but because they don’t yet trust them.
This programme is designed to remove that hesitation.
How the Intensive Works
How the intensive works
-
6 hours of technique-only coaching across two days
-
Aerial mechanics: lift, angle, disguise, safety
-
Drag flick fundamentals: body position, load, release
-
High repetition with individual feedback every set

Sessions are tightly structured so players focus on one technical problem at a time, reducing confusion and mental overload.

Aerials and drag flicking are isolated technical skills - they do not require gameplay to develop correctly.
Games are removed so players can fully focus on the mechanics that make these skills stick.
No games.
No matchplay.
Pure skill development.
