DMcG Hockey runs hockey camps and skills clinics in Dublin. These hockey camps are designed to offer each player the best chance of taking their game to the next level by working on specific technical skills and tactical concepts. Each hockey camp is tailored to the specific needs of the individual players.

Our Mission: Technically Proficient Hockey Players
Over the past 8 years, since 2015, I have spent 7 seasons working with the Irish U18 girls team. This has spanned a number of European Championships, 8 Nations and 6 Nations tournaments as well as Home Nations and many 3-game series in England, Scotland, Belgium and more.
During this time, one thing has always stood out to me as an area in which Irish hockey, for various reasons, is lagging behind leading European nations: basic technical skills.
While a lot of time is spent in Irish schools and clubs on team-focused training sessions (pressing, outlets etc) the technical skills which are required to carry out these actions are, more often than not, neglected.
The driving force behind the decision to start DMcG Hockey was a desire to offer young players the opportunity to develop these technical skills through exposure to coaches who are experts in the area.
It has been great to see those who have regularly attended our hockey camps and skills clinics grow and develop and become increasingly technically proficient, leading to their selection for Leinster Hockey Development squads, Leinster Hockey underage squads and Hockey Ireland underage squads.
DMcG Hockey Camps Dublin: How our Skills Clinics run
DMcG Hockey Camps and Skills Clinics​ differ from a traditional hockey camp in a number of ways.
Our hockey camps and skills clinics are coached by expert coaches, most of whom have coached, played, or both, at Leinster and Irish international level. The main aim is that every player who attends a hockey camp or skills clinic will have fun, make new friends but also leave as a better player than when they arrived.
Each hockey camp and skills clinic focuses on specific technical skills and hockey specific game play. Every hockey camp and skills clinic is designed to develop each players ability to solve game specific problems while equiping them with the technical skills to do so.
At the end of the day, we are there to improve the players who attend our hockey camps and skills clinics so we spend every minute working towards that goal!
