Week 1-3
Demand The Ball
Midfield Pressure Sprint
The Match Moment
In matches, when pressure builds, they stop showing for the ball because they don’t want to lose it.
The game moves around them instead of through them.
What This Sprint Builds
-
Showing under pressure
-
Receiving with a defender tight
-
First touch to attack space
-
Identifying and planning escape routes
-
Body shape to escape
The Outcome
Become the midfielder who demands the ball when it’s tight — not the one who disappears.
Week 4-6
Commit & Connect
Midfield Carrying Sprint
The Match Moment
In matches, they receive — and immediately pass the buck instead of committing a defender.
No defender is forced to react. The attack never progresses.
What This Sprint Builds
-
Carrying into space, not traffic
-
Drawing a defender deliberately
-
Creating passing lanes through committing opponents
-
Releasing at the right moment
The Outcome
Become the midfielder who commits defenders and connects play — not the one who passes the buck.
